GONZO to Develop Workforce Housing Community for Now Foods Now Foods, Inc, a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality vitamins and supplements located in DuPage County, IL has selected GONZO subsidiary WORKFORCE HOUSING SOLUTIONS as the developer of a $19 Million innovative workforce housing community for employees of Now Foods. Preliminary plans call for 106-units of apartment homes that will feature spacious units and amenities such as on-site day-care. The community will be located directly adjacent to Now Foods and will promote Illinois' "Live Near Work" program. It will enable employees to walk to work and provide them the lifestyle necessary to spend more leisure time with their families while promoting greater employee productivity at the plant, says Jason Gonzales, Principal of GONZO, Inc. "As an employer that is concerned for the development of its people, we are commited to helping provide for the basic needs of our employees beyond a paycheck," says Now Foods President Al Powers. "Providing for our the needs of our employees is consistent with our company mission." The project is currently in the planning phase and will require approval from the Village Board. If approved, construction could begin as early as spring 2008. |
